Lexus unveils six-wheeled LS Concept, a Luxury Space vision at Japan Mobility Show 2025
At the Japan Mobility Show 2025, Lexus presented its vision for the next chapter of luxury and movement. Chief Brand Officer Simon Humphries said the brand is rethinking the very idea of a flagship: the LS name is now interpreted as Luxury Space, a place where freedom and privacy define peak comfort.
The centerpiece was the Lexus LS Concept, a futuristic six-wheeled machine that blends conveyance with personal refuge. Inside, the aim is a home away from home, with a generous cabin, seamless access, and an atmosphere of complete seclusion.
Humphries emphasized that customers are no longer confined to a single vehicle format. Debuting alongside the LS Concept were the Lexus Sport Concept, designed to deliver total immersion at the wheel, and the LS Coupe Concept, which brings together passenger comfort and driver excitement.
Lexus also showcased ideas for tomorrow’s mobility: a one-person autonomous capsule, Joby flying craft, and a Lexus electric catamaran that signal freedom on land, water, and in the air.
Humphries framed luxury as leadership and described Lexus’s future as a life without boundaries, where private space and mobility merge into a single way of living. The message comes through clearly: the flagship is shifting from a mere object to an experience, with the six-wheeled LS Concept as the statement piece.
