Mazda recalls 2025 CX-50 and CX-50 Hybrid for loose suspension bolts
Mazda has issued a recall for 2025 CX-50 and CX-50 Hybrid crossovers over a potentially hazardous front-suspension issue. According to the company, mounting bolts on 1,007 vehicles may have been improperly tightened, increasing the risk of suspension damage or even a wheel detaching while the vehicle is in motion.
In the worst case, that could lead to a loss of steering control or traction, posing a danger to occupants. Mazda says owners of affected vehicles will begin receiving mailed notices starting December 28, 2025.
Dealers will carry out a complimentary inspection and, if needed, replace and securely torque any suspect fasteners.
The internal campaign number is 7925J. Preliminary findings point to a production error during assembly of a limited batch of CX-50s.
Mazda reports that no serious incidents tied to this fault have been recorded to date. Even so, owners are urged not to delay a dealer visit to avoid potential risks; early attention is the prudent choice and exactly what recalls are designed for.
