Jeep files 78 S 106 E Polar trademark, hinting Wrangler Polar comeback
Jeep has filed a new trademark application for Jeep 78 S 106 E Polar in Australia. The move may hint at the return of the fan-favorite Wrangler Polar Edition, first shown in 2013. That special run leaned into an Antarctic theme: the coordinates 78 degrees south and 106 degrees east point to Vostok Station, where the planet’s lowest temperature on record was logged at minus 89.2 degrees Celsius.
The original Polar Edition stood out with white exterior accents, badges bearing the coordinates, and heated seats. Jeep is also maintaining rights to the name and emblem in the United States, which could signal groundwork for another limited release. From a market perspective, reviving a cold-weather-themed trim feels like a precise way to tap into brand heritage and remind buyers what the Wrangler is built for—without promising anything beyond what the filings suggest.
