Genesis unveils 2026 GV80 Black Edition and GV80 Coupe Black in Australia
Genesis has unveiled the refreshed 2026 GV80 and GV80 Coupe crossovers in a special Black Edition. These models sit at the top of the lineup, putting the brand’s “Athletic Elegance” philosophy on its boldest display.
The pair goes on sale in Australia with two powertrain choices: a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine rated at 300 hp and a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6. The latter is available in the GV80 Black and GV80 Coupe Black, where power is matched with all-wheel drive and exclusive design touches.
On the outside, both models lean into a dark theme: 22-inch black wheels, a shadowed G-Matrix grille, smoke-tinted Genesis emblems, black brake calipers, and matte body paint. The cabin follows suit with black Nappa leather, black ash inlays, darkened aluminum accents, and unique infotainment graphics. The blackout treatment comes across as cohesive rather than showy, tying the look together in a considered way.
The GV80 now offers six- and seven-seat layouts, while the Coupe is strictly a five-seater. New additions include Genesis Digital Key 2.0, which lets you unlock and start the car with a smartphone, along with updated multimedia and a refined chassis—exactly the sort of polish buyers in this class notice.
In Australia, the GV80 Black Edition starts from AUD 136,000, and the GV80 Coupe Black is priced at AUD 141,500. The new versions underline Genesis’s premium ambitions, blending style, technology, and quiet confidence in every detail.
