Great Wall Motor to launch seven Haval SUVs and Ora city EVs in Europe from 2026

Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor has set out to markedly strengthen its foothold in Europe, planning a wave of new launches. The company is preparing a broad mix of SUVs and city cars, with both hybrid and all-electric options on the menu.

According to Automobilwoche, from mid-2026 Europe will see at least seven new models and derivatives. The lineup will span conventional internal-combustion engines, full and plug-in hybrids, as well as battery-electric vehicles. Most of the arrivals will wear the Haval badge, a move aimed squarely at the mainstream audience and designed to build volume.

The Ora division is in line for growth too, with a series of compact city EVs in the pipeline. The Ora 03—previously known as the Funky Cat—remains the brand’s top seller, with 1,755 units sold in the first nine months of 2025. Demand for the 03 suggests that neatly packaged, urban-focused EVs still resonate in Europe’s dense cityscapes.

GWM also plans to enter new markets, including Spain and Italy, while preserving its key positions in Germany and the United Kingdom. If the rollout keeps its pace, the strategy looks calibrated to meet everyday needs and could help the brand gain traction as more buyers shift toward electrified choices.
