2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid: 38-mile EV range, 420-mile total
Nissan has introduced its new plug-in hybrid in the United States—the 2026 Rogue Plug-in Hybrid—standing out with an estimated electric-only range of about 38 miles (around 61 kilometers). The total driving range is projected to reach roughly 420 miles (approximately 676 kilometers), a healthy figure for a family-focused SUV.
The full reveal is set for the Los Angeles Auto Show, one of the standout events on the American automotive calendar. Buyers will be able to choose between two trims: the well-appointed SL and the range-topping Platinum.
The hybrid setup combines two electric motors that drive the vehicle with a 20-kWh lithium-ion battery and a 2.4-liter gasoline engine. A full charge from a household power source is estimated at about 7.5 hours. The package looks thoughtfully balanced for everyday use without overcomplicating the formula.
Total system output is rated at 248 horsepower and 437 Nm of torque, which points to eager acceleration and reassuring smoothness when the power sources are working in tandem.
Seven drive modes are available, letting the driver tailor responses to conditions and preference. Beyond performance, the Rogue Plug-in Hybrid includes the modern active safety features expected in this class.
Inside, seating is arranged for seven passengers, and the cargo area is sized to handle family needs or travel gear. Connectivity and multimedia features are integrated into the onboard system to keep daily life simple and convenient.
The look leans into clean sportiness, with 20-inch dark-finish wheels, black mirror caps, and black exterior accents. U.S. sales are scheduled to begin in early 2026.
