Refreshed Toyota Camry for China: sleeker design, techier cabin, upgraded THS hybrid

In China, the refreshed Toyota Camry was unveiled with a noticeably reworked exterior and a more up-to-date interior. In photos, the sedan shows off a new face: a slim dark strip between the headlights, a fully closed-off mask, and pronounced LED signatures that steer the model toward a more futuristic look. The bumper reads angrier thanks to a large lower air intake with a geometric pattern, and the cleaner surfacing seems to suit the Camry’s proportions.

The rear now features new lighting with a continuous light bar and a reshaped trunk lid. On the show floor, both a light, classic version and a sportier dark variant were presented, the latter standing out with different wheels and added aero elements.

Inside, the cabin gains an updated multimedia system with a large floating touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, and a reworked center console. The interior comes across as more restrained yet more tech-forward, helped by new materials and a tidier arrangement of the controls.

The hybrid version shown on the stand is fitted with an updated THS powertrain aimed at improved efficiency and a smoother ride.

The full list of trims and technical details will be revealed closer to the start of sales in the local market.
