DR 5 SUV refreshed with LED tech, LPG option and new pricing
The compact DR 5 SUV has been refreshed and now stands as the centerpiece of the Molise-based manufacturer’s range. The update brings a tidier look and technical adjustments to strengthen its standing among budget-friendly urban crossovers.
Measuring 4.31 meters and well equipped, the new DR 5 is aimed at buyers who want a simple, practical machine with traditional powertrains: petrol or petrol/GPL (LPG), a formula still popular on the Italian market. For those seeking maximum equipment, the DR 5 Collection is available.
Outside, the model adopts LED lighting, 18-inch wheels, and twin reversing lights. The cabin goes full total black with soft-touch panels, a heated leather steering wheel, and a large 26-inch infotainment display supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay both via cable and wirelessly. City use is eased by sensors and a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines. The all-black treatment feels cohesive, and the oversized screen clearly sets the tone inside.
Under the hood sits a naturally aspirated 1.5 with 95 hp or a dual-fuel petrol/GPL (LPG) unit with 88 hp; both are paired with a manual transmission and front-wheel drive. Consumption is rated at 7.6 to 9.5 l/100 km on the WLTP cycle. Pricing starts at €19,900 for the petrol version and €21,900 for the gas-equipped variant. It’s a straightforward setup geared to everyday use.
The DR 5 Collection brings everything on the menu: a full LED suite, a two-tone grille, tinted windows, climate control, keyless entry, an expanded set of driver assists, and the same 26-inch display. It is priced from €20,900 for the petrol and €22,900 for the GPL (LPG) option, a configuration likely to hit the sweet spot for buyers who want it all without straying into premium territory.
