2027 Kia EV5 pricing for Canada: trims, range, features
Kia says the 2027 EV5 will go on sale as Canada’s most affordable electric SUV, with pricing starting at CAD 43,495. The positioning makes clear where the brand wants to compete: right at the entry point of the segment.
Shoppers will be able to choose from nine trims, ranging from the base Light at CAD 43,495 to the flagship GT-Line Limited with all-wheel drive at CAD 61,495. That spread suggests a lineup designed to serve both value seekers and buyers chasing a fully loaded spec.
All EV5 trims except the Light use an 81.4 kWh battery rated for up to 460 km (285 miles) of range, while the entry Light model carries a 60.4 kWh pack with up to 335 km (208 miles). The two-battery approach gives customers a straightforward choice between price and range.
Every EV5 includes a built-in NACS port, a curved panoramic display measuring nearly 30 inches, heated front seats, and Kia Connect with over-the-air updates. Inside, the new Kia Connect Car Navigation (CCNC) infotainment system brings two 12.3-inch screens—one for the driver and one for navigation—plus a 5-inch climate-control display. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are supported, which should make day-to-day use feel familiar and fuss-free.
The EV5 is already available to order in Canada, with the entry-level front-wheel-drive version planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.
