Volvo EX60 EV to debut Jan 21, 2026; XC70 hybrid eyes Europe

Volvo has outlined key arrivals due in 2026 as part of its electrification plan, with the headline act being the new EX60 electric crossover. Its official debut is set for January 21, 2026.

As the first Volvo on the SPA3 platform—and the brand’s first to use megacasting, a technique that casts large body sections as a single piece—the EX60 marks a clear step forward. Early information indicates dimensions comparable to the XC60, with length around 4.7 meters. The familiar Thor’s Hammer headlights will remain, and, according to Volvo, driving range will surpass all previous models from the brand and could top 700 kilometers.

The model is expected on public roads a few months after its premiere. With interest in 2026 newcomers rising, the EX60 looks set to become a centerpiece of the lineup—an EV positioned to carry much of Volvo’s momentum into the next phase.

The second expected update is the XC70 hybrid. Currently sold only in China, it may arrive in Europe in 2026. The XC70 pairs a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with three electric motors, offering an electric-only range of up to 200 kilometers and a combined range of up to 1,200 kilometers on the CLTC cycle.
