Cars built in Mexico: BMW 3 Series, Audi Q5, Bronco Sport, EVs

Many popular carmakers today choose to build their vehicles in Mexico. The practice has become widespread among global manufacturers, even as buyers often hold firm views about where famous badges ought to come from.

Several prestige brands assemble headline models there. BMW produces the renowned 3 Series and the iconic BMW M2 sports car in Mexico. Audi builds the popular Q5 lineup and its sportier SQ5 in the country as well.

The compact and midsize SUV segment has become one of the key drivers of the industry in Mexico. Significant, high-demand models assembled there include the Ford Bronco Sport, Volkswagen Tiguan, Chevrolet Blazer EV, and GMC Terrain.

Environmentally friendly vehicles are now a fixture of the market, and Mexico plays an important role in modern EV manufacturing: the Ford Mustang Mach‑E and the electric version of the Chevrolet Blazer are built there.

While many customers still value a European or Japanese birthplace on the spec sheet, modern production methods make it possible to deliver the same quality standard regardless of where a vehicle is assembled.
