India-spec 2026 Renault Duster teased: styling, features, engines

Renault continues to build interest in the next-generation Duster, scheduled to make its official debut in India on January 26, 2026. A fresh teaser confirms that the market-specific crossover will differ from the global model, most notably in its exterior treatment — a tailored approach that seems aimed at local tastes.

In the darkened clips, the lighting signature stands out. The Indian-market Renault Duster will use eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lights that also serve as turn indicators — a departure from the Y-shaped setup on the global Duster. At the rear, connected LED tail-lamps with a central light bar make an appearance, a flourish that has become commonplace among modern crossovers. The teaser also shows a rear wiper and Renault’s new logo, which previously debuted on the Triber. The overall effect looks tidy and cohesive without tipping into excess.

The cabin hasn’t been revealed yet, but the core layout is expected to carry over, with softer, higher-grade materials in key touchpoints. In terms of equipment, the Indian-spec Duster will likely mirror the global car: a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch infotainment display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, smartphone charging, and a panoramic roof. If that shortlist holds, perceived quality should take a welcome step up.

At launch, petrol engines are on the cards. The range may include a 1.3-liter turbo with around 156 hp alongside a more accessible 1.0-liter turbo. Roughly a year later, Renault plans to add a hybrid version. Set against 2025–2026 rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Toyota Hyryder, and Volkswagen Taigun, this mix looks well judged for the heart of the segment.
