Richard Rawlings takes the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato off-road at River Run Park

Owner of a Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, Richard Rawlings, the founder of Gas Monkey Garage, decided to see how the supercar handles life away from the asphalt. A helicopter set the scene by dropping the car onto a dirt road in River Run Park in Jacksonville, Texas, after which it was sent straight into the rough.

The Huracan Sterrato splashed through mud and puddles, showing composure on slippery surfaces. It comes with a dedicated Rally mode for low-grip terrain, plus all-wheel drive and a mechanical limited-slip rear differential—hardware that makes the show feel like more than just a stunt.

Next came a run for a Christmas tree. Rawlings picked the tallest one he could find and strapped it to the roof rack. The only real concern was heat from the exhaust, which could have damaged the tree—understandable given how snug everything sits at the back of this model.

The Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato uses a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 rated at 602 hp. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds, and top speed is capped at 260 km/h. Production was limited to 1,499 units, a number that keeps sightings rare even without the helicopter theatrics.

Once the project wraps, the supercar will be given away, and the whole experiment stands as a clear reminder of how sports cars can behave beyond the tarmac.
