New 2026 KGM Musso pickup debuts with tougher styling, long-bed option, diesel and gasoline power

KGM continues to refresh the lineup it inherited from SsangYong and kicks off 2026 with a headline debut: the new Musso is finally shown in full. The change from the previous generation looks radical—the pickup appears noticeably tougher and more contemporary in its details. Up front, vertical headlights set the tone, while a cross-car LED daytime running light underscores the signature grille. The model name is spelled out across the leading edge of the hood in large letters, a flourish many carmakers favor today.

In terms of construction, the Musso remains a classic work tool: a ladder-frame chassis, a double-cab body and a large cargo bed. KGM confirms two sizes: a short version at 5.15 meters and a long one at 5.46 meters. Their wheelbases are about 3.1 and just over 3.2 meters, respectively. The cabin seats five, and the interior is presented to feel like a modern passenger car rather than a utilitarian truck—an approach likely to resonate with buyers who live with their pickups every day.

Notably, KGM also has an electric Musso, but the new internal-combustion version will be a separate branch for selected markets. It is slated to offer a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 202 hp and a 2.2-liter diesel rated at 217 hp. The lineup is arranged along passenger-car logic: the Musso Long is positioned as the top specification and, in effect, will be offered only with four-wheel drive, while the shorter variant will also come with rear-wheel drive. That split neatly clarifies the roles within the range.

Pricing has not yet been announced, and on several markets, including Europe, the brand, according to preliminary information, does not plan to sell the ICE version, instead focusing on the electric model.
