Chevrolet Corvette Z06 debuts in Japan at Tokyo Auto Salon 2026 with a triple-screen cockpit and Google Built-in

Chevrolet’s refreshed Corvette Z06 made its debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2026, opening sales in Japan with a seriously reworked cabin architecture and a strong emphasis on digital capability. Pricing is set at 26.8 million yen for the coupe and 30.2 million yen for the convertible, both right-hand-drive and sticking with a traditional naturally aspirated V8 — a rare stance in this segment today.

The centerpiece is the new cockpit, where a triple-screen layout appears for the first time. The redesigned center console adopts new shapes, a more logical button layout, and better ergonomics. The instrument cluster brings fresh animations, and trip, traction, and load data appear instantly. The wireless charging pad has been moved higher to hold a smartphone even during sharp maneuvers. The cupholders gain ambient lighting, and a new grab handle shows up on the passenger side — together it makes the cabin feel cleaner and more purposeful than before.

The Z06 now comes with the Performance App, previously available only on the hybrid E-Ray. The Performance Data Recorder has been updated as well — a telemetry system that compiles detailed videos and lap analysis, including automatic speed hints. An additional 6.6-inch display controls PTM and other parameters. Google Built-in ensures constant online access, navigation, an assistant, and media, with eight years of connectivity included. Track-day regulars will welcome the deeper data, while daily users should appreciate the native Google suite.

As a launch sweetener, Chevrolet introduced the limited Z06 Santorini Edition — 20 cars finished in silver with a blue interior, exclusive belts, and forged wheels. The coupe additionally receives carbon-ceramic brakes, while the convertible features a transparent engine-bay panel. A small run, but spec’d to stand out without tipping into excess.

The model stays true to its fundamentals — a mid-engine layout, unfiltered mechanics, and an unapologetically radical character — yet becomes noticeably more high-tech and comfortable, maintaining its status as one of the benchmark American supercars. It’s evolution where it counts, bringing usability forward without dulling the edge.
