BMW 3 Series G20 farewell specials debut in South Korea

BMW is preparing a symbolic send-off for the current 3 Series generation. The company has confirmed that the next-generation sedan will debut at the end of 2026, and in the meantime the market will see several special editions of the G20. The initiative comes from the brand’s South Korean division, which has put together five limited-run series, three of them based on the 3 Series.

The most unexpected is the 320i M Performance Parts Edition. It’s a rare move for BMW’s entry-level variant: the sedan receives a carbon M Performance aero kit, including the grille, rear spoiler, and mirror caps. An aramid roof antenna and black M fender badges complete the look. All 10 cars are finished in Alpine White and feature a cabin trimmed in Cognac Sensatec.

In a more potent vein, the M340i arrives in two versions. Both add carbon exterior pieces, while the pricier specification also brings an M Performance rear diffuser and bold side graphics. Inside, it steps up to Vernasca leather.

Production is limited to 40 units, and pricing for the top configuration reaches 91.9 million won. A special-series M3 Touring also stands apart: the G81 is painted in Nardo Gray, fitted with exclusive wheels, and finished with a bespoke leather interior. Just 10 will be built, each priced at 146 million won.

BMW clearly aims to close the G20 chapter with style, and giving the 320i the full M Performance treatment reads less as a play for lap times and more as an appeal to collectors—an emotional farewell to a model line that shaped the brand’s identity.
