Hyundai IONIQ 6 updated for Spain: new batteries, trims, prices

Hyundai has officially detailed trims and pricing for the refreshed IONIQ 6 in Spain. Following its facelift, the electric sedan gains revised styling, new battery packs, and emerges as a serious price rival to the Tesla Model 3.

Updated design and N Line version

The updated IONIQ 6 stands out with slimmer headlights featuring the brand’s Parametric Pixels signature and a reworked rear capped by a new ducktail-style spoiler. For the first time, an N Line trim joins the range with a more aggressive body kit. Inside, the steering wheel, center console, and decorative elements have been redesigned, making the cabin more ergonomic and giving the cockpit a cleaner, more cohesive feel.

New batteries and specifications

The key technical change is the move from the previous 58 and 77 kWh batteries to new 63 and 84 kWh packs. The base version with the smaller battery and a 151 hp motor delivers up to 521 km on the WLTP cycle. A more powerful rear-wheel-drive variant with 228 hp and the 84 kWh battery is rated for up to 680 km on WLTP. The all-wheel-drive dual-motor setup produces 325 hp, sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds, and can cover up to 595 km. Thanks to its 800-volt architecture, a 10 to 80% charge takes 18 minutes. On paper, those numbers look compelling.

Prices and positioning

In Spain, pricing starts at 44,650 euros, and with brand incentives and support programs it can drop to 34,340 euros. That undercuts the Tesla Model 3’s entry price in the Spanish market. Looking ahead, the lineup will be complemented by the IONIQ 6 N with up to 650 hp, aimed squarely at performance.

With the update, the Hyundai IONIQ 6 becomes more long-legged, more high-tech, and, crucially, more attainable. With incentives applied, it poses a direct challenge to the Tesla Model 3, offering more range and rapid charging without a steep price jump.
