Chevrolet Colorado Stars & Steel Edition unveiled

Chevrolet is launching a series of special anniversary editions called Stars & Steel for the 2026 model year, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. One of the models in this lineup is the Colorado pickup, which was unveiled at the Detroit auto show.

What the Special Edition Is Based On

The Colorado Stars & Steel Edition is built on the Trail Boss version and retains all of its off-road capabilities. Under the hood, it features a 2.7-liter turbocharged gasoline engine without any technical modifications. This means the special series is purely cosmetic and doesn't affect the model's powertrain.

Design and Features

The focus is squarely on the exterior styling. The pickup gets side graphics with American flag motifs, anniversary "250" badging, and a dark visual package. Equipment includes 20-inch black wheels, a sport bar with an integrated light bar, darkened emblems, and a black exhaust tip. The look is completed with protective elements, red tow hooks, and functional packages for active use.

Positioning and Market

Chevrolet hasn't revealed the official price for the Stars & Steel version yet, but the standard Colorado Trail Boss in a similar configuration serves as a benchmark, priced at around $55,560. Production of the anniversary models will start in spring, and they're primarily aimed at the American market, where such themed series have traditionally been popular.
