Citroën ë-C3 Aircross offers 400 km range with affordable pricing

Citroën has streamlined its electric ë-C3 Aircross lineup, focusing on a single, longer-range version. The new Extended Range model replaces the previous variant with a smaller battery, offering up to 400 km of range without a significant price increase.

Technical Details and Range

The updated ë-C3 Aircross features the same 113 hp electric motor as before but now pairs it with a 54 kWh LFP battery. This boosts the WLTP range to 400 km, up from the previous 307 km.

Charging capabilities remain unchanged, with peak power at 100 kW allowing a charge from 20% to 80% in about half an hour.

Pricing and Positioning

Despite the notable range improvement, the starting price stays below the psychological threshold of €26,000. The base You version is priced at €25,990, making the ë-C3 Aircross one of the most affordable electric SUVs with this level of range. In practice, this matters because competitors with similar range often cost more while being smaller in size.

Market Significance

The ë-C3 Aircross is built on Stellantis's Smart Car platform and manufactured in Europe, which helps keep prices in check. For buyers, this is important since the model is notably larger than many B-SUVs, approaching C-segment dimensions while remaining in the budget category.
