Topping the list is the legendary 3.98-liter Toyota 1UZ V8, known for powering premium models like the Lexus LS and Toyota Celsior. One LS 400 owner covered over 1.5 million kilometers with this engine without encountering major breakdowns. In second place is the five-liter Toyota 3UR-FE family, used in the Tundra pickup. In the U.S., this engine logged 1.6 million kilometers in less than ten years, enduring regular long-distance travel.

Third is the naturally aspirated four-cylinder Honda F22A, fitted in 1990s Accords. One vehicle confirmed a lifespan of 1.6 million kilometers without an engine replacement.
