Bentley Supersports film highlights extreme drifting and modifications
Bentley has unveiled one of its most spectacular projects in recent years—the film "Supersports: FULL SEND," featuring Travis Pastrana showcasing the capabilities of the new Supersports. This model features rear-wheel drive, 666 horsepower, and a set of specialized modifications for extreme drifting. The limited edition of 500 cars is already sold out.
Dynamics and Project Vision
Filming took place exclusively at Bentley's campus in Crewe, England, including the historic factory on Pyms Lane. The format echoes Gymkhana-style driving, with sharp acceleration, braking, sustained slides, and precise handling on the factory's narrow roads. This approach highlights a new dimension of the Supersports—its swift, precise, and aggressive dynamics, made possible by a reworked chassis and aerodynamics.
Pastrana proved to be the perfect choice for the project. As a legend in extreme sports and rallying, he managed to reveal the car's hidden potential while maintaining control even at the limits of grip.
Technical Features and Modifications
For the shoot, the Supersports received several specialized components. The key modification is a hydraulic handbrake, allowing instant locking of the rear axle for precise maneuvers. Integrated with the electronic control units, this system ensures quick power resumption after releasing the handbrake.
Additionally, the transmission and chassis software were updated with a "power-brake" function—simultaneously pressing the throttle and brake to maintain a stable drift. The car also gained static and dynamic burnout capabilities, making the film's scenes more spectacular. The handbrake handle is engraved with the name "Mildred," an internal project code paying homage to one of the "Bentley Girls" from the 1920s.
Bentley's Heritage and Guest Appearances
The film serves as a journey through the brand's history. Iconic models make appearances, including two generations of the Continental GT3, the Le Mans-winning Speed 8, the W16-powered Unodiale concept, the Pike's Peak Bentayga, the Continental GT, and five pre-war Bentleys—among them the legendary 1929 Blower #2.
Pastrana drives past Bentley's future luxury urban SUV, still camouflaged, subtly teasing the upcoming model. The finale features three generations of Supersports, including a rare 1925 example.
"Supersports: FULL SEND" is more than just an ad—it's a bold manifesto from Bentley, signaling a shift into a new, dynamic era. The new Supersports blends luxury status with extreme handling, and the creative partnership with Pastrana made the presentation truly memorable. Production of the model will begin in late 2026, with deliveries starting in early 2027.
