Panoramic RV Perspective: a spacious B-class camper on Ford Transit
The B-class camper market has gained a new model that truly lives up to manufacturers' promises of "big space in a compact format." Canadian company Panoramic RV has introduced the Perspective—a motorhome built on the Ford Transit platform that combines the maneuverability of a van with the comfort of a full-sized RV.
At its core is an all-wheel-drive Ford Transit with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost engine producing 310 horsepower and 542 N·m of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This setup ensures confident performance not only on highways but also in challenging weather conditions. Modern safety features come standard, including automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
The Perspective's standout feature is its sense of spaciousness. The interior height reaches 195 cm, while numerous windows provide panoramic views and flood the cabin with natural light. The layout follows European design principles: a front lounge and dining area with swivel seats, a central kitchen and bathroom, and a full bedroom at the rear.
The kitchen is equipped with an induction cooktop, microwave, a spacious compressor refrigerator, and a well-thought-out storage system that includes a vertical pull-out cabinet. The bathroom is designed as a wet room with a porcelain toilet and shower. The sleeping area offers two options—a large longitudinal bed or two separate beds—with part of the structure being transformable to accommodate large gear.
Designed for year-round use, the Perspective features enhanced insulation, a Truma climate control system, 600-watt solar panels, a 3000-watt inverter, and high-capacity batteries. Water reserves are also sized for off-grid trips without needing to connect to infrastructure. While the exact price hasn't been disclosed, similar Panoramic RV campers range from $120,000 to $215,000 depending on equipment.
Overall, the Perspective is a rare example of a B-class camper that genuinely feels "bigger than it is." For travel, van life, and year-round adventures, it stands out as one of the most balanced options on the market, albeit with a premium price tag.
