Chevrolet Blazer EV recall for parking brake cable problem
General Motors has announced a recall campaign for 2024-2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV models due to an identified issue with the rear parking brake cable.
The problem stems from incorrect installation of certain structural components, which could lead to either unintended activation or complete failure of the parking brake. This significantly increases the risk of dangerous situations on the road, including potential traffic accidents.
The recall affects a limited batch of GM vehicles: twenty of these Chevrolet Blazer EV crossovers are located in the United States, with approximately forty-five more being operated by owners in Canada.
All affected vehicle owners will be promptly notified by the manufacturer through special notices. Once received, owners will be instructed to visit their nearest certified brand service center for vehicle diagnostics and necessary free repairs to address the identified parking brake defects.
