Skoda Epiq electric SUV: Key details, specs, and pricing for 2026

Skoda is preparing to launch its most affordable electric vehicle—the compact B-SUV Epiq, which will be a key new model for the brand in 2026. Production will take place in Landaben, Spain, where it will share an assembly line with the Volkswagen ID. Cross. Like other members of the Electric Urban Car Family, the Epiq is built on the upgraded MEB+ platform with front-wheel drive.

In size, the Epiq is similar to the current Kamiq, but it will be the first Skoda vehicle entirely executed in the new Modern Solid design. Signature T-shaped lighting elements, a closed Tech-Deck Face panel, and clean proportions give this compact crossover a mature appearance. Inside, Skoda promises a spacious cabin and a large trunk for its class, offering 475 liters of cargo space.

The cabin architecture blends physical buttons and tactile controls. Expect a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a media center nearly 13 inches in size—a solution borrowed from the ID. Polo. The motor lineup includes several versions, including a sporty RS with 226 horsepower (166 kW). Models with maximum torque may feature an electronic locking differential, known as VAQ.

The Epiq will be offered with two battery options: an LFP pack at 37 kWh and an NCM pack at 52 kWh. Maximum range is expected to be around 425 km on the WLTP cycle. Fast charging promises 90 kW for the smaller battery and up to 130 kW for the larger one, allowing a charge from 10% to 80% in about 23 minutes.

The main intrigue is pricing. Skoda aims to bring the Epiq's cost close to that of the gasoline-powered Kamiq, which starts at 28,600 euros. This suggests a starting range of 25,000 to 30,000 euros before subsidies, positioning the newcomer in direct competition with the BYD Atto 2, Ford Puma Gen-E, and Renault 4 E-Tech.
