Kia EV5 electric crossover debuts in Italy with 530 km range

Kia has launched the EV5 in Italy, introducing a strategic C-segment electric crossover to the market. The model starts at €44,750 and is initially available in a single technical configuration with front-wheel drive. Under the hood is an electric motor producing 217 horsepower and 295 Nm of torque, powered by an 81.4 kWh battery.

The claimed range is 530 km on the European WLTP cycle, reaching up to 722 km in city driving. Fast charging at 150 kW allows the battery to recharge from 10% to 80% in about half an hour, while the built-in Plug&Charge technology simplifies access to compatible stations.

The base Air version includes LED headlights, flush door handles, dual-zone climate control, power-adjustable driver's seat, and advanced Level 2 driver assistance systems. The digital architecture combines two 12.3-inch displays and a separate 5.3-inch climate control unit. The Earth trim adds three-zone climate control, heated seats and steering wheel, wireless charging, and a power tailgate.

The GT-Line version features sporty styling, driver's seat memory settings, full LED lighting, Kia Tex Signature decorative materials, and V2L functionality for powering external devices. The top Launch Edition adds a digital key, fingerprint scanner, remote parking, panoramic sunroof, ventilated Relaxation seats, head-up display, and Harman Kardon audio system, while enhancing the safety package with blind-spot monitoring and automatic braking during maneuvers.

Later, the lineup will be expanded with an all-wheel-drive variant and a sporty GT version.
