Suzuki eVitara electric crossover details and specifications

Suzuki has unveiled details of its first mass-produced electric model, the eVitara, which will hit the Australian market in June. The electric crossover is built on the new HEARTECT-e architecture, designed to optimize cabin space, body rigidity, and the operation of high-voltage systems.

The model will be offered in two versions. The base Motion trim features a 49 kWh battery and front-wheel drive, delivering 106 kW of power and a range of 344 km. The all-wheel-drive ALLGRIP-e system is available on the Ultra version, which comes with a larger 61 kWh battery, boosting power to 135 kW and extending the range to 395 km. Both variants support fast DC charging from 10% to 80% in 45 minutes.

Standard equipment includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch multimedia screen, 360-degree cameras, rain and light sensors, climate control, preset driving modes, and ambient lighting. The Ultra trim adds a glass roof, adaptive headlights, heated and power-adjustable seats, wireless charging, and a combination interior finish.

Safety features are comprehensive, with seven airbags, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control. Suzuki will announce pricing closer to the sales launch this summer.
