IM LS8 electric SUV interior images and specifications unveiled
The first images of the interior of the new IM LS8, a large electric SUV with a range extender, have surfaced online. The model has already been certified in China and is set to debut in the first quarter of 2026. The LS8 will position itself above the LS7 and LS9, offering 5- and 6-seat configurations and an expanded suite of technologies.
Inside, the cabin mirrors the LS9's style, featuring a massive 27.1-inch panoramic screen paired with a separate 15.6-inch media panel for the passenger. The interior is built around the IM AIOS system, which supports AI functions. The center console includes two wireless chargers and cup holders, while the seats boast a substantial design with enhanced support and diamond-stitched upholstery.
Externally, the LS8 follows the brand's signature look, with a "starry ring" LED light strip, smooth body lines, and a compact laser radar unit that hints at advanced self-driving capabilities. The dimensions are impressive: a length of 5085 mm, width of 2000 mm, and wheelbase of 3060 mm.
Under the hood, the model will be based on a setup with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine-generator (REM) and a rear electric motor producing 230 kW. LFP batteries with capacities of 52.1 and 65.9 kWh will provide 268–335 km of pure electric range. This approach allows the LS8 to combine long-distance capability with low ownership costs.
