2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E equipment and technology updates

The 2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E has received several equipment changes. The main update is the Technology Package, available for Select and Premium trims at $1,495. For GT and Mach-E Rally versions, this package comes as standard.

This package includes the BlueCruise system with a one-year subscription and 90-day plan, Ford Co-Pilot360 Active 2.0 driver assistance suite, 360-degree cameras, front parking sensors, automatic reverse braking, a power liftgate, wireless charging, and a universal garage door opener. Interestingly, many of these features were standard in the 2025 model year.

Now, Select and Premium buyers will need to pay extra for items that were previously included in the base configuration. Moreover, the standard front trunk (frunk) has become an option, and seatback pockets have been removed entirely. This appears to be Ford's attempt to optimize trim structures and keep the starting price attractive, shifting some costs to additional packages.

Strategically, the model remains important for the brand. Despite revised plans for several electric projects, Mustang Mach-E production will continue, and the crossover remains a key element of Ford's electric lineup.

Ford has taken a "base and options" approach: the starting price looks enticing, but buyers will need to pay extra for the familiar technology set. For customers, it's crucial to carefully review configurations to avoid unexpected expenses.
