Skoda hits 4 million SUVs: crossover lineup and EV roadmap

Skoda has built its four-millionth SUV, the Czech brand said. The modern chapter began with the Yeti, launched in 2009, and since then the segment has quietly shifted to the center of the company’s business.

Today the crossover range is the most extensive in Skoda’s history, spanning seven model families. It stretches from the India-built Kylaq and Kushaq, each under four meters long, to the Kamiq, Karoq, and Kodiaq, and on to the all-electric Elroq and Enyaq, including the Enyaq Coupé. The spread shows the brand covering everything from compact entries to established nameplates and dedicated EVs.

Right now, crossovers account for roughly half of Skoda’s global sales. Production is spread worldwide, and this year the new plant in Vietnam began assembling the Kushaq—an expansion move that fits the brand’s broader footprint.

Next year the company will introduce the series-production Epiq, an entry-level, fully electric crossover positioned at an accessible price. In 2026, Skoda plans the world premiere of its flagship electric SUV, a seven-seater based on the Vision 7S concept. Together, these launches sketch out the brand’s next steps in electrification.
