Audi recalls 1,620 vehicles for lane departure warning software issue

Volkswagen Group of America has announced a recall affecting 1,620 Audi vehicles from the 2019 model year. The campaign includes the Audi Q8, A7, and A6 models.

The recall stems from a software glitch that may have emerged following repairs made under an earlier recall. This fault can cause the lane departure warning system to deactivate. When this function is disabled, drivers won't receive an alert if the vehicle begins to drift out of its lane. This effectively reduces the performance of a key active safety feature.
