BYD Qin L EV unveiled in Chengdu: pricing, specs and smart tech
The refreshed BYD Qin L EV made its debut at the Chengdu Auto Show. The sedan arrives in three versions priced from 119.8 to 139.8 thousand yuan, while a limited-time offer brings that down to 109.8–129.8 thousand yuan (1.23–1.46 million rubles). Built on the e-generation 3.0 EVO platform, it features the YunNian-C intelligent suspension control, which adaptively adjusts the dampers to boost comfort.
On the ground, SPEEDME.RU reporters noted that the car keeps its clean look with a closed-off front fascia, but adds three fresh shades: the pink “Tianyou,” the light blue “Liuli,” and the rich “Haijing.” The profile is drawn with smooth lines and flush-style door handles, while the rear strikes a reserved yet sporty note that ties the design together.
Inside, the center console is now longer and finished with glossy inlays, complemented by a large 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen. A 50W wireless charging pad for smartphones is integrated up front.
Technically, the Qin L EV comes with two power options: a 110 kW electric motor or a more potent 160 kW unit. The transmission is operated via a steering-column selector, a simple touch that makes daily driving easier.
Intelligent functions are handled by the DiPilot 100 system, also known as “Tianshen Zhi Yan.” It uses a three-camera architecture and unlocks advanced driving assistance, including navigation on highways and expressways—exactly the kind of capability that’s becoming standard in this segment.
Once again, BYD shows that mainstream EVs can be both attainable and high-tech. The new Qin L EV comes across as a smart pick for buyers balancing price and modern features; with lower pricing than many rivals and generous equipment, it has every chance to become one of China’s most in-demand electric sedans.
