Buick and Cadillac shine in the 2025 JD Power China CSI
The 2025 JD Power China Customer Service Index (CSI) Study points to clear gains in the quality of after-sales care. The findings show that most domestic Chinese brands have significantly lifted their customer-service performance, while international players have also made tangible progress. Taken together, the picture is one of steady, system-wide improvement that customers are likely to feel in day-to-day ownership.
General Motors stands out in this context, with its Buick and Cadillac divisions delivering strong results. Cadillac earned 804 points, taking third place in the premium segment and trailing only Mercedes-Benz and Land Rover. Buick posted 798 points, securing sixth among mass-market marques. The rankings neatly capture how both nameplates compete where it matters most to owners: the service experience after the sale.
Both GM brands registered a slight year-over-year increase, reinforcing a sense of consistency and a commitment to high service standards. These outcomes align with a broader shift across China’s auto industry toward innovative digital tools and a more personalized touch for every customer — the kind of approach that tends to build trust well beyond the showroom.
