Hyundai unveils updated 2027 Kona with lower price and digital upgrades

Hyundai has unveiled the updated 2027 Kona crossover in South Korea. The model features a revised trim lineup, a lower starting price, and new digital functions including multimedia subscriptions. The main innovation is the H-Pick version, which offers popular options as standard equipment. These include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with navigation, dual-zone climate control, and rain sensors.

Hyundai explains that the base Modern version is now cheaper because some equipment has been moved to optional packages. This approach lets buyers select only the features they want.

The Kona hybrid version also received simplified trims, which reduced its price by nearly 600,000 won. At the same time, the model retains its key advantages in terms of efficiency and performance.

For the first time, a version with a fully black exterior package is available, emphasizing a more aggressive design. Additionally, Hyundai implemented a Features on Demand system, allowing users to activate interface themes, including Pokemon. This highlights a shift toward a model where the car becomes a digital platform with additional services.

Hyundai is betting on lowering the entry price and increasing personalization. This approach is becoming a new standard in the market, especially in the mass-market crossover segment. The 2027 Kona is not just a model update but a change in philosophy: fewer fixed options, more flexibility, and digital capabilities. This could become a key advantage in the competition for buyers.
