Mitsubishi Triton Raider: enhanced off-road pickup with upgraded suspension
Mitsubishi has expanded its Triton pickup lineup, known in some markets as the L200, with the introduction of a new top-tier Raider variant designed for challenging conditions. Developed in collaboration with Premcar, this model will serve as the flagship of the family in the Australian market.
The key upgrade for the Triton Raider is its revised suspension. Engineers have enhanced the shock absorbers and springs to improve both comfort and off-road handling. Ground clearance has also been increased by 25 mm, which directly boosts its off-road capability. Additionally, the track width has been widened to enhance vehicle stability.
The pickup features 18-inch wheels with Bridgestone all-terrain tires, body protection elements, and branded accessories. Externally, the model stands out with special decals and unique trim elements. Inside, the cabin boasts leather upholstery with contrast stitching and distinctive Raider branding.
Sales of the Triton Raider will begin in May 2026. The price has not yet been announced, but it is expected to be higher than the current GSR version, which starts from 62,990 Australian dollars.
Overall, Mitsubishi is targeting the segment of pickups with enhanced off-road capability and comfort. The Triton Raider is aimed at buyers who need a versatile vehicle for off-road use without sacrificing features and technology.
