2026 Lexus RZ electric SUV gets price reduction and upgrades

The 2026 model year Lexus RZ electric SUV will go on sale in Australia next month. Due to low sales, its price will be reduced by a significant amount.

The new starting price for the base Lexus RZ is now $84,500. The price cuts are noticeable for both premium trim levels. The Luxury trim is now available for $121,059, which is $36,559 lower than the previous price of $157,618. The reduction is even more substantial for the Sports Luxury version, where the price has dropped by $42,059, falling from $164,559 to $122,500.

Beyond the price reduction, the 2026 Lexus RZ has undergone several technical changes. The battery capacity has increased to a substantial 74.7 kWh, which has positively impacted the driving range. The motors have received a power boost, now delivering an impressive 280 kW. This also contributes to an increased range of approximately 460 kilometers according to the WLTP test cycle.

Additionally, buyers will be offered a special model variant called the RZ550e F Sport, equipped with an innovative yoke-style steering wheel. This version is designed to appeal to enthusiasts of sporty driving style and exclusive technology.

Later in the same year, a limited series called the RZ600e F Sport Performance will be introduced, featuring increased power up to 313 kW. However, the final price for this top version remains unknown and will be officially announced closer to its sales launch.
