Tesla Model Y introduces Zen Grey interior with updated design
Tesla has introduced a new interior design for the Model Y, replacing the familiar white option with a Zen Grey theme. This update is already being applied to five-seat Premium versions produced at the Shanghai factory and has begun reaching customers.
The new interior features a light grey color scheme. Seats, door panels, and the center console now share a unified shade, creating a more cohesive cabin. Previously black elements have been painted to match the rest of the trim.
The materials remain durable and easy to maintain, while the interior now appears visually warmer and less contrasting. According to early owner feedback, the cabin reflects light better and gives a sense of more spaciousness.
This update hasn't increased the car's price—Zen Grey has become the standard replacement for the white interior. The new trim is already available in China and several markets across Asia and Oceania.
Changes also extend to the exterior, with darkened emblems and optional 20-inch wheels now offered.
Overall, these updates help Tesla maintain its position among new 2026 vehicles by offering improvements without raising prices, a strategic move amid growing competition in the electric vehicle market.
