Volkswagen updates the ID. Buzz with a new 4Motion version

Volkswagen has unveiled an update for the electric ID. Buzz that makes the model more versatile and more advanced. The headline addition is the new 4Motion all-wheel-drive version with two electric motors producing a combined 340 hp.

The new variant not only improves performance, but also adds everyday usability. With all-wheel drive, towing capacity has increased as well: the electric van can now tow up to 1,800 kg, significantly broadening its range of use.

The update also extends to the software side. The ID. Buzz gets a new generation of driver assistance systems, including automatic braking at traffic lights. It also adds one-pedal driving, allowing the vehicle to slow to a complete stop without using the brake pedal.

Volkswagen has also introduced Vehicle-to-Load, enabling the vehicle to power external devices, from electric bikes to household appliances. Inside, there is an updated infotainment system with app download capability.

The model will go on sale in summer 2026. Competition in the electric minivan segment is intensifying, and buyers are increasingly choosing the best vehicles with versatility and technology in mind.

This update to the ID. Buzz shows how electric vehicles are becoming a full-fledged alternative to conventional models. It is no longer just a stylish retro-inspired bus, but a genuinely functional car for everyday life.

Earlier, SPEEDME.RU reported that Volkswagen is investing €10 billion in electric vehicle production.
