Liberty Walk gives the Toyota Land Cruiser 250 a widebody street look
Japanese tuning house Liberty Walk has unveiled an unusual take on the Toyota Land Cruiser 250, shifting the focus away from off-road ability and toward a more aggressive visual character. The project adds a widebody kit, lowered suspension and a series of exterior changes that completely alter the familiar SUV’s presence.
The centrepiece is a widebody package with flared wheel arches and extra aerodynamic elements. It includes a new front splitter, substantial side skirts, a revised bonnet, rear diffuser, ducktail-style spoiler and even a roof-mounted wing. Liberty Walk’s signature decals and a matte body finish with an olive tint complete the look.
The SUV also receives new wheels with Toyo tyres and a lowered suspension setup, moving it closer to a road-going show car than a conventional off-roader. The mechanical package, however, remains unchanged, as Liberty Walk typically avoids modifications to the powertrain.
Notably, the displayed example is left-hand drive, hinting at an export-market focus. The cabin, meanwhile, appears to have been left untouched, which is also in line with the tuner’s usual approach.
The Toyota Land Cruiser 250, whose production began in 2023, is based on a platform shared with the Tacoma, 4Runner and Lexus LX. Depending on the market, it is offered with petrol and diesel engines, including hybrid variants.
The project shows how an iconic SUV can be recast as an image-led urban vehicle, with design moved to the foreground and practicality pushed into the background.
