Skoda Elroq 60 becomes the new entry point with 451 km of range
Skoda has updated its most popular electric crossover, the Elroq, and completely reshaped the base version. The new entry model is now the Elroq 60, with a different battery type and a longer driving range. Sales have already begun, with prices starting at €37,800.
The key change is the move to an LFP battery. Instead of the previous version with a 55 kWh battery and 374 km of range, the new base model now offers 451 km. Output has risen to 190 hp, while this version effectively replaces two earlier trim levels. It is a clear step up for the entry point, bringing it closer to the mid-range versions of some rivals.
The difference should be felt in everyday use. An LFP battery copes better with frequent charging to 100% and is less prone to degradation, making it more convenient for urban driving. At the same time, the range is now sufficient to avoid thinking about charging every day. Against Chinese models that are putting pressure on the market with price and specifications, Skoda is strengthening the Elroq’s practical appeal.
The Elroq 60 also gets a broad equipment package as standard, from adaptive assistance systems to heated features and digital systems. That means even the entry-level version no longer looks like a compromise. More expensive trims add comfort and visual differences, but they do not change the core hardware.
