Cybertruck at $59,990 may finally be rolling off the line — and Giga Texas is buzzing again
Drone footage from Giga Texas shows fresh batches of Cybertrucks on May 11, 2026, with the $59,990 Dual Motor AWD reportedly among them.
Tesla Giga Texas is back in the spotlight thanks to the Cybertruck. According to drone footage shot by aerial observer Joe Tegtmeyer on the morning of May 11, 2026, fresh batches of the electric pickup have appeared on the Texas plant’s yard. Part of the inventory is believed to belong to the Dual Motor AWD trim priced at $59,990.
Tesla rolled out this more affordable Cybertruck configuration in late February 2026. It slots in below the pricier AWD and Cyberbeast versions but still retains all-wheel drive. Visually it’s hard to tell the new variant apart from its more expensive siblings. Unlike the earlier Long Range RWD, which lacked the powered tonneau cover, the base AWD gives almost nothing away from the outside.
Interest in the trim has been strong. Initial U.S. delivery estimates of June 2026 quickly slipped to September–October, and for later orders all the way to April 2027. If production really has started, it could help Tesla shorten the wait and widen the Cybertruck’s audience with a more accessible all-wheel-drive version.
Meanwhile, preparations for the Cybercab continue at Giga Texas. According to SPEEDME, dozens of finished cars have been spotted in the shipping area.
