Proactive Care takes MINI service to the next level
MINI has unveiled Proactive Care, a new customer service solution designed to transform the ownership experience. Branded under the promise «RELAX. WE CARE.», the system acts as a digital concierge, detecting current or potential service needs and proactively notifying the driver with tailored solutions.
If the vehicle sensors detect a fault or maintenance requirement, customers receive personalized alerts via the MINI App, in-car messages, email, SMS, or even direct calls from their preferred dealer or roadside assistance. When a workshop visit is necessary, the service partner can perform remote diagnostics, while all work details, costs, and appointments remain transparently accessible at any time.
This reverses the traditional process: instead of the driver approaching the dealer, MINI Service takes the initiative. To enable Proactive Care, users must register their car in the MINI App, activate MINI Connected, and consent to data sharing under GDPR-compliant standards.
After launches in Italy, the UK, Germany, Korea, Spain, and Benelux, the service will expand to France, China, and the USA in late 2025. To promote the initiative, MINI is rolling out an AI-generated global ad campaign set in the Scottish Highlands, which will debut at the IAA in October.
