BMW North America Q3 2025 sales up 24%; light trucks lead, MINI accelerates

BMW of North America reported a sharp upswing in the third quarter of 2025. Deliveries rose 24% year over year to 96,886 vehicles. Over the first nine months of the year, sales reached 275,385 units, an 8.5% increase compared with the same period a year earlier.

The sales mix tells a clear story. Passenger car volumes climbed 19.1% versus last year’s third quarter, while light trucks advanced by 28.1%. That difference highlights stronger momentum for light trucks this quarter.

Electrified models—battery-electric and plug-in hybrids—were down 2.8% from a year ago, totaling 16,096 vehicles. Even with the pullback, their share remained meaningful at about 20% of BMW’s overall sales. The softer patch suggests a less even cadence within otherwise broad-based growth.

MINI delivered a standout performance. The brand sold 7,270 vehicles in the quarter, up 37.6% year over year. Across the first three quarters, MINI reached 21,862 units, rising 24.6%—a strong showing within the broader results.
