Mercedes-Benz is bringing the CLA Shooting Brake wagon back to the Australian market. The model is set to reach local dealers in the fourth quarter of 2026 — the first Mercedes-Benz wagon in Australia in five years.

Both hybrid and fully electric versions are confirmed for the wagon. In Europe, the electric CLA Shooting Brake is offered with a 213 kW rear-wheel-drive setup and a 260 kW all-wheel-drive version. Both use an 85 kWh battery, with a claimed WLTP range of up to 755 km for the rear-drive model and 726 km for the all-wheel-drive one. DC fast charging supports up to 320 kW.

The CLA Shooting Brake offers 455 litres of boot space, and the electric version adds a 101-litre front trunk. The new Shooting Brake is larger than the previous CLA wagon, which had long been absent from Australian showrooms. In Europe the model is already available to order, with sales kicking off with the long-range electric versions.

Pricing for the CLA Shooting Brake in Australia has not yet been revealed. Early indications suggest the wagon will likely cost a few thousand Australian dollars more than the comparable CLA sedan. The sedan currently sells in Australia for between 66,500 and 84,300 Australian dollars (47,281 to 59,937 US dollars) in hybrid form and from 72,200 to 91,300 Australian dollars (51,334 to 64,914 US dollars) in electric guise, before on-road costs.
