Honda leads What Car? 2025 reliability rankings at 96.6%
Honda has taken the top spot in the What Car? 2025 Reliability Survey with a score of 96.6%. The study draws on feedback from 32,493 owners of cars up to five years old and covers 30 brands and 227 models.
The Jazz, HR-V, and Civic did most of the heavy lifting, combining minimal downtime with strong dependability. The HR-V led the way at 97.5%, followed by the Civic on 97.3%, with the Jazz also scoring highly. Only 15% of Hondas in the sample experienced a fault, all of which were fixed at the manufacturer’s expense, and more than half of affected cars were back with their owners in under 24 hours.
Rebecca Adamson, who heads Honda Motor Europe UK, emphasized that reliability sits at the core of the brand and sustains customer trust. What Car? experts added that every Honda model in the survey achieved strong results.
Taken together, the figures sketch a clear picture: Honda favors predictability over drama—reassuring when a car is a daily tool rather than a weekend indulgence. For buyers weighing new 2025 models, these results offer another compelling reason to keep Honda on the shortlist.
