Bronco goes upscale: Ford pairs Filson with Raptor power
Ford and Filson unveil the 2027 Bronco Filson — a premium SUV with the Raptor's 3.0L EcoBoost V6, standard Sasquatch package and a quieter cabin.
Ford has officially unveiled the 2027 Bronco Filson — a new premium version of the SUV, built together with American outdoor outfitter Filson. The model is meant to sit above the regular Bronco lineup, but it doesn’t turn into an urban crossover: under the skin it’s closer to the serious off-road trims.
The headline feature is a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost lifted from the Bronco Raptor. Ford hasn’t disclosed the exact output for the Filson yet, but preliminary figures put it at around 400 hp. Every Bronco Filson comes standard with the Sasquatch package: 35-inch off-road tires, electronic locking front and rear differentials, Fox shocks, Trail Turn Assist, Trail One-Pedal Drive and seven Terrain Management modes.
The Filson also sets itself apart from the regular Bronco inside. The cabin features perforated quilted leather seats with fabric inserts, Filson-inspired trim, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and a B&O audio system. Ford also claims better sound insulation: thanks to acoustic glass, new seals and refined aerodynamics, wind noise is said to drop by 20%.
For buyers this is more than a cosmetic special edition. The Bronco Filson bets on the format of an expensive overland SUV: a powerful engine, a comfortable cabin, deployable running boards, a digital rearview mirror and removable water- and dirt-resistant gear bags. North American orders open in fall 2026, with deliveries starting in early 2027.
