Tesla has officially confirmed the imminent launch of Actually Smart Summon for its electric Cybertruck pickup. The company said the feature is coming soon but stopped short of naming a specific date.

Actually Smart Summon is part of the Full Self-Driving suite and lets the owner call the vehicle to their location in a parking lot via the mobile app. The truck moves with no driver inside, although the function is capped by speed, distance, and operating conditions. It is typically used in parking lots or driveways — for example, in the rain, in tightly packed parking, or when a passenger has trouble walking to the vehicle.

The rollout to Cybertruck has been delayed. The pickup’s own peculiarities likely played a role — the steering, the sheer size, the mass, the braking distance, and how the truck behaves in narrow parking aisles. All of that required separate tuning and algorithm validation so the feature would work safely on Cybertruck rather than just replicating scenarios from Model 3, Model Y, Model S and Model X.
