California-based Bossi Vans has unveiled the Goliath, a camper van built on a four-wheel-drive Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2024 with a wheelbase of about 4.32 m. The project is designed as a family home on wheels for long-distance trips and off-the-beaten-path adventures.

On the outside, the Sprinter has been kitted out with a serious off-road package: Black Rhino wheels wrapped in 34-inch BFGoodrich KO3 tires, King Suspension, a CAtuned front bumper, a Warn winch with 5,443 kg of pulling power, additional Baja Designs lights and an S&B snorkel. The roof carries a rack, a Fiamma awning, a Starlink antenna, two 175 W Renogy solar panels and a hardshell pop-top tent with windows and a Maxxair fan. It serves as a separate sleeping area for the kids.

Inside, the Goliath looks less like a hardcore expedition van and more like a compact family home. The cabin features two fold-away benches with seatbelts, a table, and a kitchen with an Isotherm Cruise 200 fridge, a small freezer compartment, a convection microwave, a sink and a separate tap for filtered water. The rear section is given over to a lounge area with two sofas and another table.

Off-grid power is handled by an 800 Ah lithium-ion battery bank and a 3,000 W inverter. The system can be charged from the solar panels, shore power or the vehicle’s alternator via DC-DC charging. The plumbing system includes a 113-liter freshwater tank, a Bosch electric water heater and a connection for an outdoor shower. To stay comfortable in any weather, the van gets a Timberline hydronic heating system and a Dometic RTX 2000 air conditioner.
