2026 Cadillac Optiq gains power, AWD, and NACS Supercharger access

Cadillac has unveiled the updated 2026 Optiq, now markedly more powerful and more tech-savvy. The electric crossover arrives in two configurations—rear-wheel drive and full AWD—with Cadillac saying the latter brings a dramatic jump in performance.

The AWD version delivers 440 hp and 498 Nm, while the base rear-wheel-drive model offers 315 hp and 332 Nm, making it stronger than last year’s setup. Even so, range holds steady: 510 km for RWD and 487 km for AWD on the EPA cycle, still using the familiar 85 kWh battery. On paper, that mix of punch and endurance hits a sweet spot for daily use and longer trips alike.

The headline update is the integration of Tesla’s NACS port, giving owners direct access to the Supercharger network without an adapter. That means the Optiq can now charge at more than 21,500 Tesla stations across North America—a practical upgrade that removes a common pain point for EV drivers in the region.

Cadillac presents the refreshed Optiq as a move into a new era, combining sharper dynamics with preserved range and a premium comfort focus. Industry observers add that the crossover now has every chance to become the most sought-after Cadillac of the new generation—and given the specs and charging access, the case looks convincing.
