MINI Countryman S ALL4 Select 2026: Japan price and specs
MINI adds a cheaper all-wheel-drive Countryman S ALL4 Select to its Japanese lineup, priced ¥390,000 below the standard S ALL4, with deliveries starting in September 2026.
MINI has added a more affordable all-wheel-drive version to its Japanese Countryman lineup, the S ALL4 Select. It costs ¥5.53 million, roughly ¥390,000 less than the standard Countryman S ALL4, priced at ¥5.92 million. The first cars are due to reach customers after September 2026.
No technical downgrade has been announced. The crossover keeps the ALL4 all-wheel-drive system and the 48-volt mild-hybrid setup — the Countryman already picked up a 48-volt hybrid system in Australia. The Japanese Countryman S ALL4 pairs a 2.0-litre turbo engine rated at 204 hp and 320 Nm with a 20-hp starter-generator and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The official WLTC figure is 13.1 km/l, roughly 7.6 L/100 km.
The savings come from a trimmed specification and options list, though the base equipment remains substantial. It includes adaptive driving assistants, an extended parking suite, a head-up display, LED headlights, wireless charging, smartphone integration, and augmented-reality navigation. Standard wheels are 17 inches, with 18-inch wheels available as an option. Nine body colours and three roof options are offered.
The price also includes three years of MINI TLC maintenance, though that programme applies only within the Japanese market. All cars are right-hand drive, and registration costs and accessories are not included in the price.
