Experts at Tarantas News have published a ranking of the world’s most expensive and rare cars—machines that serve as emblems of engineering prowess and opulence. The selection reads like a tour of modern coachbuilding at its most ambitious. The list includes cars with price tags in the tens of millions of dollars, and production is often limited to only a few examples.

Leading the price charts is the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail—a singular cabriolet priced at $28 million. Only three exist, each hand-built with bespoke finishes and integrated picnic accessories.
